The early games on Sunday in week 15 are plentiful in betting opportunities.

Another week, another set of lines for Sunday's NFL games. You may be accustomed to me doing the late games on Sunday, which features a lot more teams from the AFC/NFC West, but this week, I will be giving you my picks against the spread for the early games.

Without further adieu... As always, the lines come courtesy of Bovada.

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears- no line

There is not currently a line in this game, likely due to the uncertainty surrounding Jay Cutler. However, he is expected to play. The Bears are on a historic slide right now, so they may be favored, but it won't be by much. Take the Packers no matter the spread (as long as it is not above 3 in Green Bay's favor).

New York Giants +1 vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons may have the best record in the league, but they have failed to show us that they can actually be in contention for a Super Bowl run. With that said, Matt Ryan plays like a completely different QB when in the friendly confines of the Georgia Dome. This should be a hard fought, close game, but I am taking the Falcons -1.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +4 vs. New Orleans Saints

The Saints are not likely to make the playoffs this year, but that does not mean that they are not going to play hard at home under the direction of Drew Brees. All of the 'Bountygate' suspensions were recently vacated, so that is definitely some weight off their shoulders. I like the Saints to win this one, but not by much. They still have one of the worst defenses in the league. Take the Bucs and the points.

Minnesota Vikings +3 vs. St. Louis Rams

The Rams have been playing well of late, whereas the Vikings have hit a snag with Christian Ponder as their QB. Steven Jackson is still effective at his age, not fumbling even once this season. Combine that with an emerging group of receivers and the possible return of Danny Amendola and you have the recipe for a Rams victory. Take St. Louis minus the points.

Washington Redskins vs. Cleveland Browns - no line

This game does not have a line because we don't know if Robert Griffin III is going to play. Even if he doesn't, Kirk Cousins has proven to be a nice substitution. That said, the Browns are actually on a nice pace as of late and are on a three game winning streak. I like the Redskins in this game if RG3 plays, but if it's Cousins, take the Browns with anything under 3 points.

Jacksonville Jaguars +7 1/2 vs. Miami Dolphins

The Jaguars are still without Maurice Jones-Drew and are still losing, but Chad Henne has proven to be a better option than the young <strike>bust </strike>Blaine Gabbert. With the game being played in Miami in front of the tens of fans watching, how will Henne respond against his old team? I think the Dolphins take this one... handily. Take them minus the points.

Denver Broncos -3 vs. Baltimore Ravens

This is the early game we all want to see. If the Ravens win, they can show that they are legit contenders despite all of the injuries. If the Broncos win (which I think they will), that is all the proof we need that Peyton Manning is officially back and his offense is ready to win a title. I absolutely love the Broncos in this game, as I think the defense including DPOY candidate, Von Miller will harass Joe Flacco and company all day. Take the Broncos.

Indianapolis Colts +10 vs. Houston Texans

Division games are usually closer than they should be (unless you are the Arizona Cardinals losing by 58 points to the Seattle Seahawks). Andrew Luck has definitely proven to be special and the Colts are on the precipice of making the playoffs just one year after selecting first overall. Amazing what a franchise QB can do for you. Can the rookie handle J.J. Watt and the electric Texans defense, though? I don't think so, but I think they keep this game closer than 10 points. Take the Colts and the ten.

Enjoy the games!

A quick rundown of the Sunday games and our picks against the Vegas spread

It is Week 14. The games are here and most of them matter for the playoffs. Our late game picks against the spread are already set. What about the early games?

Baltimore Ravens at Washington Redskins (-3): The 'Skins are rolling with RG3 playing at a higher level than anyone expected. But Baltimore will take advantage of a weak Washington secondary. Take the points and go with the Ravens.

Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns (-7): How often are the Browns favored by a touchdown? This is one too many times. Both are bad teams. The line is too much. Take the points and the Chiefs.

San Diego Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers (-9): Ben Roethisberger returns, which means the Chargers are toast. Plus with the report of San Diego's coach and GM being lame ducks, don't expect the Chargers to come out with a ton of energy. Give the points and roll with Big Ben.

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (-6): Andrew Luck at home. You have to like this game. the Titan are way too up and down to trust a blowout. However, I've got the Colts by at least a touchdown.

New York Jets (-3) at Jacksonville: The Jets are not good, but not so bad that they won't beat the horrible Jags by at least a touchdown.

Chicago Bears (-3) at Minnesota Vikings: The Vikes are reeling, but they can rely on Adrian Peterson. However, Chicago is going to keep their lead in the division. Give the points, take the Bears.

Atlanta Falcons (-3.5) at Carolina Panthers: The Falcons keep proving me wrong. When I think they will win big, they play it down to the last second. When I don't think they cover, they win big. Being on the road and having clinched the division, this is going to be another nail-biter and Carolina comes away with the upset. Take the points and the Panthers.

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-7.5): Philly kind of came together offensively with Nick Foles at the helm. I don't see an outright win, but they will cover. Take the points and the Eagles.

St. Louis Rams at Buffalo Bills (-3): The Rams just beat the 49ers. Naturally. Which means they will fall on their face in Buffalo. Lets go with the Bills to cover.

Dallas Cowboys at Cincinnati Bengals (-3): The Cowboys are holding on to their playoff hopes. They are going to keep with the late season push and come away with an outright win. Take Dallas.

The late games are few, but the lines may provide a bountiful return for bettors this week.

With the season winding down, one of the things that changes while picking against the spread is picking for trap games. Teams are going to be inserting more backup players depending on if they are going to make the playoffs or are too far out of reach. With that said, there will be some surprise victories from lesser teams in the next few weeks.

Let's jump right in to the picks. As always, the lines come to you courtesy of Bovada.

Miami Dolphins +10 vs. San Francisco 49ers

While I do not see this as a trap game quite yet, it is close. The 49ers are looking to lock up the NFC West, as the Seahawks are still on their tails. Colin Kaepernick has played well since being inserted into the starting quarterback position and the defense is otherworldly as usual. However, the Dolphins still have an outside shot at grabbing an AFC Wild Card behind rookie QB Ryan Tannehill. I like the 49ers to win this game, but this is a pretty steep margin against a good defense. Take the 'Fins and the points.

New Orleans Saints +5 vs. New York Giants

The Saints are not likely to make the playoffs at this point, but that does not mean they are not one of the most dangerous teams for opponents to gameplan for right now. Drew Brees is always a handful and this should be an interesting quarterback matchup to keep an eye on. Still, I think the Giants' front four get after Brees and win New York this game. Take the G-Men minus the points at home.

Arizona Cardinals +10 vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Cardinals have decided to put John Skelton back at quarterback, but is that really an upgrade over Ryan Lindley at this point? Both quarterbacks have played awful this season and I am sure the team is begging for Kevin Kolb to get healthy soon so that they can win a game again. Even worse, they have to travel to the always difficult CenturyLink Field to play the Seahawks. With the lack of offense the Cardinals are able to generate, I think the Seahawks win in blowout fashion. Take Russell Wilson's squad minus the points.

Detroit Lions +7 vs. Green Bay Packers

The last game of the day features two very explosive offenses in what is sure to be a shootout. The Lions have not lived up to expectations this season, but that does not mean they won't be trying as hard as they can in a divisional game. Aaron Rodgers has been en fuego as of late, so I definitely don't plan on betting against him. Take the Packers minus the points. With Greg Jennings back as another weapon for this team, I fully expect them to make a strong push for the playoffs.

Happy hunting!

Sunday's late games could be full of treasures with the right selections.

It seems that with all of the injuries, Bovada is having a difficult time setting lines on games the further the season gets along. When starting quarterbacks are out, it is best not to place a bet on any team at all, as the spreads are usually pretty wild.

Still, I will give you my picks against the spread for the late games on Sunday. As always, the lines come from Bovada.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +7 vs. Denver Broncos

This is a case where neither team knows the other particularly well, but with two explosive offenses, it is bound to be a good game. Peyton Manning isn't the only reason the Broncos are playing so well as of late. The defense is playing on another level behind potential DPOY candidate, Von Miller. I think they will get pressure on Josh Freeman and this game will end up being anything but close. Take the Broncos minus the points.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens- no line

With Ben Roethlisberger still ailing, it was a foregone conclusion that this game was not going to have a set line. With Big Ben doubtful to play, the line may get set somewhere closer to gameday. With Charlie Batch set to start at QB, if the spread is anywhere near 7 points or less, you should take the Ravens.

Cleveland Browns vs. Oakland Raiders- no line

Another game without a line and this one is somewhat puzzling. Carson Palmer is limited in practice with a thumb injury, but I would guess that he ends up playing. Darren McFadden could also make his return coming back from an ankle wound. If both of them play, I see no reason as to why they would not be favored at home. Still, if the spread is anything greater than 3, stay away from this one.

Cincinnati Bengals -2 vs. San Diego Chargers

Raise your hand if you were one of the people that thought the Bengals would be favored on the road against the Chargers when this season started. Philip Rivers looks like a shell of his former self under Norv Turner and the Chargers look like they are headed for some big changes after the season. With A.J. Green and the suddenly surging BenJarvus Green-Ellis, the Bengals look like the good pick here.

Philadelphia Eagles +10 1/2 vs. Dallas Cowboys

I know the Eagles are in turmoil, but wow. This is quite the line to be setting. Michael Vick is probably assumed out and the team is shaken up after the cutting of Jason Babin. Andy Reid is showing his players that mediocrity is unacceptable, so I expect them to come out and play with a fire this week. It's also a divisional game, so even if they have Nick Foles at QB, I cannot justify this big of a spread. Take the Eagles and the points.

Happy hunting!

A look at handicapping all the Sunday games.

Sunday is nearly upon us and Week 12 games in the NFL are here. Jay Cutler returns for the Bears, but it looks like Alex Smith, despite being able to play, will probably sit behind Colin Kaepernick. This has made it hard for Vegas to give point spreads. Nonetheless, here are our picks for Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (-6): Most places have no line for this game, but we now know more. Percy Harvin is out for the Vikes, Jay Cutler is in for the Bears. Pick: Bears, -6.

Oakland Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals (-9): Oakland has been reeling and has to go on the road. Can you trust them? I can't. Pick: Bengals, -9.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-1.5) at Cleveland Browns: Ben Roethlisberger is still out, as is Byron Leftwich. That means Charlie Batch will start. Now, Cleveland is bad enough to lose, but they will be at home and the Steelers just have too many injuries on offense. We're going with the upset and taking the Browns with the 1.5 points.

Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts (-3): Indy returns home after being destroyed by Tom Brady. Andrew Luck has hit a bit of a wall and Buffalo's Jairus Byrd has been making plays on defense. We take the underdog here, too. Bills, +3.

Tennessee Titans (-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars: Well, the Jags put up 37 against the Texans. Tennessee has been very good and very bad. But can you really trust the Jags to cover two straight weeks? I can't. Pick: Titans, -4.

Denver Broncos (-10) at Kansas City Chiefs: I think this is a given. The Chiefs are bad and Peyton Manning is good. It is a rivalry game, but not even the biggest rivalry can overcome the Chiefs' deficiencies. Pick: Broncos -10.

Seattle Seahawks (-3) at Miami Dolphins: The Seattle defense is great, but Miami has been a very tough team. Plus, Seattle has not quite been the same team when they are on the road. Pick, Dolphins, +3.

Atlanta Falcons (-1.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Atlanta takes to the road after a lucky win, where they turned the ball over six times and still won. Expect a big rebound performance for Ryan. Pick: Falcons, -1.5.

Baltimore Ravens (-1) at San Diego Chargers: Is it time for the Chargers' signature late season run? Not yet. Pick: Ravens, -1.

St. Louis Rams at Arizona Cardinals (-1): Last year, the Cardinals snapped a six-game losing streak against St. Louis. History will repeat itself with a rookie starting at QB. Pick: Cards, -1.

San Francisco 49ers (-2.5) at New Orleans Saints: Colin Kaepernick gets his second start and will try to show the flash he did a week ago. He will face Drew Brees and a surging Saints team. But it is on the road and it is Drew Brees. We're taking the underdog. Pick: Saints, +2.5.

Green Bay Packers at New York Giants (-1.5): The Packers are surging, while Eli Manning is struggling for the Giants. Even though it is a road game for the Packers, we like the underdogs. Packers, +1.5.

There may be only four late games on Sunday, but at least a couple of them are worth betting on.

This NFL season is flying by about as fast as it possibly could. With that said, I don't know if there has been a better week to bet against the spread for the Sunday late games. I LOVE the Saints and the Broncos this week to absolutely manhandle their respective opponents.

Take a look at what we would do for picking against the spread in week 11:

New Orleans Saints -6 vs. Oakland Raiders

The Saints are on a roll right now, defeating the previously undefeated Atlanta Falcons last weekend. Even though they are 4-5 and behind two divisional rivals, it is impossible to count out a team with Drew Brees at the helm from making the playoffs. They are starting to get a running game going, which we all know the Raiders can't defend. Take the Saints minus the points on the road this week. This could easily be a blowout.

Indianapolis Colts +9 vs. New England Patriots

Luck vs. Brady. Future vs. past. This is the matchup we have all been waiting for. The Colts have an outside shot at making the postseason while the Patriots are already all but there. I don't see the Pats losing this game, but again, there is a chance. After all, the Cardinals managed to beat them in week 2 at Gillette. With a spread of nine points, I would lean towards taking the Colts, though that is a riskier bet. Stay away from this one.

San Diego Chargers +8 vs. Denver Broncos

To me, this is like the Saints and Raiders game. Could this finally be the week we see Norv Turner get canned following a monstrous defeat? I think so. Peyton Manning is the Peyton of old and their defense has one of the best pass rushing duos I have seen in Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil. They shredded the Panthers last weekend with a mobile quarterback under center. Expect them to do the same to a shaky Chargers offensive line on Sunday. Take the Broncos minus the points. You'll be happy.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers- no line

With Ben Roethlisberger not set to play this week with a rib and shoulder injury, that leaves Byron Leftwich as the quarterback. Ugh. The Ravens will win this game and if Bovada ever sets the lines for it, I would take Baltimore if it's anything under 6 points. If Cam Cameron can learn that he has a super weapon in Ray Rice, this game will be over in a hurry.

Happy hunting!

Have some spread picks for early Sunday.

With Week 11 already here for the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals head on out to Georgia as a double-digit underdog. The Texans also have a healthy home spread. No worries. Jacksonville hasn't covered all season on the road.

Here is how we would place wagers against the spread:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1) at Carolina Panthers: Tampa stops the run well. Carolina can really only run well to be effective. Tampa already beat the Panthers once this year. You have to like them again. Pick: Bucs, -1.

Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons (-10.5): This line is too big. The Cards had the bye to prepare for the Falcons. Again, despite their recent struggles, their defense has been able to stop some pretty decent quarterbacks. Pick: Cardinals, +10.5.

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins (-3.5): It doesn't look like Michael Vick will play. With that being the case, you can't really believe that the Eagles mess will win with a rookie backup. Pick: Skins, -3.5.

New York Jets at St. Louis Rams (-3.5): The whole Tim Tebow is terrible fiasco is going to end with a Jets win. St. Louis looks better having played to a tie against the Niners, but look for a letdown. Pick: Jets, +3.5.

Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5) at Kansas City Chiefs: The only way I take the Chiefs here is if Andy Dalton gets hurt.Pick: Bengals, -3.5.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans (-16.5): The Jags haven't covered on the road yet this year. They are terrible and the Texans happen to be pretty good. Despite the line, still over 58 percent of the money is coming in on Houston's side. Pick: Texans, -16.5.

Green Bay Packers (-3.5) at Detroit Lions: My only take on this is that Aaron Rodgers is playing well. You can't bet against that, especially when the line is tight. Pick: Packers, -3.5.

Cleveland Browns at Dallas Cowboys (-9): Dallas is coming off of a game where they put up 38 points. However, Dallas has been terrible against the spread at home -- 2-12 in their last 14 games. Dallas will win, but Cleveland is going to make things interesting. Pick: Browns, +9.

You may want to avoid placing your money down on any of the late games this Sunday.

We are back for another week of Tyler picks against the spread to hopefully not make you lose money. Despite how awful I may be at this sometimes, it is not my goal to make you lose. I swear.

That is why I continue to give you my picks for the Sunday late games. As always, the lines come to you from Bovada.

New York Jets +6 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Like I mentioned last week, I am no longer betting against the Seahawks when they are playing at home. They are somehow surrounded by some sort of shield when they play in the CLink. Even the best of teams look awful in Seattle. And the Jets are not in the category of 'the best of teams'. The Seahawks' defense will probably eat Mark Sanchez alive, forcing Tim Tebow into the game at some point. Six points might be a lot, but I am taking the 'Hawks.

Dallas Cowboys -1 1/2 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Before the season started, many would have circled this game on their schedule as one to watch. Now, it looks like ti will be a battle between two very mediocre teams. I have never had faith in the Cowboys, but I am somewhat surprised at how bad the Eagles have been under the direction of Andy Reid. I wouldn't expect that to continue this Sunday, though. The Eagles are at home and could get a big game from LeSean McCoy. Michael Vick will turn around his issues against the overrated Cowboys defense. Take the Eagles and the points.

St. Louis Rams +11 1/2 vs. San Francisco 49ers

This game has 'blowout' written all over it. The 49ers have managed to do just that to the Jets, Bills and others recently, so why not the Rams as well? The thing is, this is a divisional game. These things always seem to be closer than they should be. The Rams' defense is not nearly as bad as it was last season with a couple of new players and Jeff Fisher as the coach. 11 1/2 is quite a few points to be giving up, even if the 49ers are at home. I would avoid this game, but gun to my head, I am taking the Rams and all of those points.

Houston Texans +1 vs. Chicago Bears

This is by far the best game of the week and possibly of the season thus far. Both teams are 7-1 and are facing off in what could be a Super Bowl preview. The Bears have homefield advantage, but I am taking the Texans. Chicago's best defender in Charles Tillman may be out with the impending birth of his newborn child. The Bears still have a porous line which will be matched up against a fantastic one headed by J.J. Watt of the Texans. And, maybe most importantly, Jay Cutler does not do well under pressure. It seems like every time I see him on national TV, he is crying or yelling at someone. This might be the week they show us what the Bears are truly made of, good or bad. Take the Texans and the point.

Enjoy the games!
