The Arizona Wildcats have a history of not schedule cupcake non-conference games. The games are usually over a few minutes into the second half, the walk-ons get more playing time than some of the players in the normal rotation and the coaching staff doesn't have much to work with the next day in practice.

That being said, this UA team needed a cupcake game. The team would be playing their third game in six days and the holidays were just a few days away. Seemingly every game this season had come down to the wire, and a blowout win to get some of those walk-ons into the game would be a nice change.

Arizona did exactly that on Thursday night, defeating the Bryant Bulldogs by a score of 100-60. Five players reached double figures in points, only one starter played more than 23 minutes and every player on the roster checked into the game. The team shot 51.5% from the field and hit 13 of 23 attempts from behind the arc.

Jesse Perry led the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Solomon Hill added 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Brendon Lavender was unconscious from deep, hitting six threes on his way to a team-high 18 points. Kyle Fogg recorded 11, Josiah Turner scored nine and dished out nine assists, and Kevin Parrom scored 11 in his best game since returning a month ago.

For Bryant, Corey Maynard scored 22 points and sophomore wing Alex Francis contributed 17 points, although he committed eight turnovers. The Bulldogs simply were overmatched on Thursday night.

The Wildcats now head home for a few days before returning to practice on December 26. The Arizona State Sun Devils will come to the McKale Center on the 31st to kickoff conference play.

The Arizona Wildcats will look to wrap up non-conference play on Thursday night as they welcome in the struggling Bryant Bulldogs to Tucson. The UA enters the game at 8-4 and should not have any problems with their foes, who feature a record of 1-10.

Bryant is out of the Northeast Conference and is led by head coach Tim O'Shea. The team has not won a game since November 12. Sophomore forward Alex Francis is the biggest threat for Bryant, averaging 17.4 points and eight rebounds a night.

Start Time: Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. from McKale Center.

Projected Starting Lineup: Jordin Mayes, Kyle Fogg, Nick Johnson, Solomon Hill, Jesse Perry; while these five may start the game, do not be surprised to see other guys garner most of the minutes. The Wildcats have played three games in six days and tonight's game should not be close.

TV Coverage: FOX Sports Arizona will carry the game.

Radio: 1290-AM The Source will cover it with Brian Jefferies handling the play-by-play duties.

The Arizona Wildcats needed to get back on their feet after a tough loss to Gonzaga and they did exactly that on Tuesday night against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The UA led a majority of the way and used big nights from Solomon Hill, Kyle Fogg and Jesse Perry for the victory.

In front of a packed house at McKale Center, Hill went for 23 points and 11 rebounds after struggling mightily over the weekend. Fogg scored 17, brought down six rebounds and dished out three assists, while Perry recorded 13 points and five rebounds. Freshman guard Nick Johnson did not have a great night shooting the ball, but still managed to end with seven points, four rebounds and six assists.

Oakland was led my star point guard Reggie Hamilton, who hit 12 of his 21 shots on his way to 31 points. Despite tough defense from the Wildcats throughout the game, Hamilton was simply too good and was locked in from behind the arc. Travis Bader scored 17 and brought down five rebounds as well.

Arizona needed a big win and they came through on Tuesday against a quality opponent in Oakland. Next up is Bryant University, a tune-up game before the holiday break.

Arizona returns home to take on the Golden Grizzlies. We have a preview, TV coverage and more inside.

The Arizona Wildcats will look to get back on their feet on Tuesday night at the McKale Center as they welcome in the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The UA enters the matchup after a big letdown against Gonzaga, although the 'Cats have a chance to string together a long winning streak in the coming weeks with a favorable schedule.

This streak begins against Oakland. While they may not be a big name, this is a quality program that earned a No. 13 seed in last year's NCAA tournament. The Grizzlies, who are out of Michigan, are led by head coach Greg Kampe. Expect an up-tempo offense to take the floor at McKale; they average more than 80 points a night and feature athletes capable of hanging with Arizona.

Oakland has losses to Arkansas, Alabama, Michigan and Ohio, and their best win comes against Tennessee. In their most recent game, the Grizzlies defeated Valparaiso at the buzzer, a team the Wildcats defeated 73-64 in the season opener.

Senior guard Reggie Hamilton can take over a game with his ability to score the ball in a multitude of ways and is among the best in the nation averaging 22 points-per-game. Freshman Corey Petros has really impressed this season and is averaging a double-double. In a blast from the past, Laval Lucas-Perry, who transferred to Michigan from Arizona in 2008 before transferring to Oakland last season is averaging 12 points off the bench.

TV Coverage: FOX Sports Arizona, KWBA in Tucson.

Radio: 1290 AM The Source

Projected Starting Lineup: Jordin Mayes, Kyle Fogg, Nick Johnson, Solomon Hill, Jesse Perry.

Final Prediction: Arizona 78 - Oakland 71; if the Wildcats underestimate the Golden Grizzlies, they'll lose. That being said, this team knows they need to get it in gear if they hope to make a run this season. That begins tonight as Kyle Fogg breaks out for 20+ points.
