The University of Arizona Wildcats managed to hold on for a 45-37 win over the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns to finish their season with a record of 4-8.

The game against the visiting 8-2 Sun Belt team was a high-scoring affair. Louisiana-Lafayette picked up the first score of the game with an 11 yard Harry Peoples rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Arizona's Taimi Tutogi tied the game with a short rushing touchdown to open the second quarter, but the Cajuns went back on top 13-7 on a touchdown pass from Blaine Gautier to Alonzo Harris.

With just over three minutes left in the first half, Nick Foles connected with Juron Criner on a nine yard pass to put the Wildcats on top 14-13. Arizona would not surrender the lead for the remainder of the game, despite Louisiana scoring three touchdowns in the third quarter.

Quarterback Nick Foles, who was questionable heading into game time, ended up with a tremendous performance to wrap up his season. He finished the game 33-for-43 with 352 passing yards, three touchdowns and a fourth quarter interception that was returned for a Cajuns touchdown. Criner led all Wildcats receivers with 129 yards on nine catches and two touchdowns.

Saturday's game between the Arizona Wildcats and Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns will not be televised, which is significant for multiple reasons. Not only do UA's seniors not get their final game televised, but it also does not give the fan base outside of Tucson a chance to see their new head coach address the crowd at halftime.

This game is also important, especially with the new Pac-12 TV deal with ESPN beginning next year. Patrick Finley had a great tweet this morning:

Today's #ArizonaWildcats game not on TV. It will be, literally, the last non-televised game in school history, given new #Pac12 media deal

Starting in 2012, fans will no longer have to worry about whether or not the game is televised or streamed online somewhere. Regardless if it's Oregon vs. Stanford or Arizona vs. South Carolina State, the game will be available to everyone in the country. It may take a little while to figure out what channel (or website) the game is being played on -- it sounds like they could be on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC, Pac-12 Network, ESPN3.com, FOX, Fox Sports Net, FX and the recently proposed Pac-12 media website -- but they'll be out there.

For those of you bummed about not seeing today's game, just think of next season and beyond. This new Pac-12 media deal is going to revolutionize the way we watch sports.

The Arizona Wildcats are riding high after knocking off ASU last weekend and need to finish their season on a high note. Despite not being bowl eligible, Saturday's game means a lot to the program.

Nick Foles, Juron Criner, Keola Antolin, Trevin Wade and the rest of the seniors will be playing their final game at Arizona Stadium. For such a talented class of seniors, it truly is a shame the program was not able to do more with their collective talents. A big win would be a great way to send out our players. And along with those seniors, it may be the final game for many of the coaches on the staff. There is a chance a few of them are retained by Rich Rodriguez, but it looks unlikely at this point.

This will be the first game of the Rodriguez era in Tucson, even though he will not be on the sidelines. Expect the recently hired coach to spend most of his time in the press box meeting with boosters and long-time fans, although he is expected to speak and address the crowd at halftime.

Kickoff Time: 2 p.m. from Tucson.

TV Coverage: The game will not be televised. For those wanting to catch the festivities, tickets can be purchased at ArizonaAthletics.com.

Radio: The Wildcat IMG Radio Network, with 1290 AM The Source airing the game locally.

Nick Foles suffered a rib contusion on Saturday against Arizona State. But he doesn't want to finish his career on someone else's terms.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, Arizona Wildcats quarterback Nick Foles is expected to return to face Louisiana-Lafayette in Saturday's season finale after suffering a rib contusion in Arizona's 31-27 win over rival Arizona State.

The Daily Star reported that interim coach Tim Kish said that Foles underwent tests today that came back negative. Foles plans to play, though he is still sore.

It makes sense for Foles to want to play in this game so badly. It would mark the completion of his Wildcats career. He already sits as Arizona's all-time leader in passing attempts, completions and touchdowns.

Even with Arizona struggling with a 3-8 record, Foles has been solid with 3,982 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. His zero interceptions against Arizona State was the first game since the fourth game of the season that he didn't throw an interception.

If Foles can't go, senior backup Bryson Beirne will start.
