Just when Eric Gordon thought he was going to get away from the New Orleans Hornets and move on to be Steve Nash's replacement with the Phoenix Suns, news reports on Thursday are claiming that New Orleans will indeed match the Suns offer, keeping Gordon in the Big Easy instead of the desert.

The four-year NBA veteran has averaged 18.2 points and 2.4 assists per game in his career, though played just nine games for the Hornets in the 2011-2012 season, averaging 20.3 and 3.4 assists per game during that time. He let it be known on Tuesday that "Phoenix is just where my heart is now," though it won't be where he'll be playing basketball.
