Grant Hill Rumors: Free Agent Veteran Still Mulling Options, Likes Heat, Lakers, Thunder

Free agent veteran Grant Hill has been rather mum this offseason about where he would like to continue his career, though many have suspected that a return to the desert would fit him well. But with the departure of Steve Nash to Los Angeles some have feared that Hill won't want to play here without his long time friend.

Well that isn't necessarily the case as Hill was in Las Vegas to watch some of the action at the summer league as well as team USA practice, noting that he still has a desire to play, just taking his time going through his options.

"I am a free agent and I do have a desire to play," he told NBA TV. "I'm just sort of sorting through it, trying to figure it out. [I] definitely have options. We'll have to wait and see."

Some of the teams Hill is allegedly supposed to have interest in is Miami, Oklahoma City and the L.A. Lakers, all of which are seen as top contenders heading into the 2012-13 season.

"You want to win. You want to play," said the 18-year veteran. "You watch the (NBA) Finals this past year. You see Miami. You see what they accomplished. You want to experience that. I've been lucky to experience it in the Olympics and in college twice. But you know there's a lot of variables involved with winning. Everyone can now can say 'Oh, Miami will definitely win' but it's a tough road to get to a championship."

As for the Suns, team president Lon Babby would certainly love to have him:

"He's obviously welcome back here if we can have him back," said Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby. "He would be a great asset for us with the group we're bringing in but he's got to do what's best for him."
