Suns Free Agency Rumors: Portland Trail Blazers Talked With Robin Lopez

The Phoenix Suns are moving on from the Steve Nash era. Now they have to secure the remaining players they have on their basketball team and hope they don't get poached by any of the notable names out there.

Suns center Robin Lopez is one of the more under-the-radar names out there getting hawked. There's a bit of a premium on big man centers, so even though Lopez probably isn't the greatest producer under the rim (he averaged only about 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 14 minutes of action a game), there's always going to be a market for players that are tall.

Interestingly, the Portland Trail Blazers (who just drafted Meyers Leonard) are the ones who have been pursuing Lopez as of late, and might just end up throwing an offer sheet to them.

Lopez is a restricted free agent, so the Suns have the potential to match any new deal the Trail Blazers throw out there. It might depend on how much the Blazers are willing to spend.

Talk about Lopez with Suns fans at Bright Side of the Sun, and with Blazers fans at Blazers Edge.
