NBA Mock Draft: Phoenix Suns Select Jeremy Lamb In First Round

The Phoenix Suns will have the No. 13 pick at the 2012 NBA Draft. They have been linked to various players the last few weeks and will begin individual workouts shortly, but until then we can get a pretty good idea of who the Suns may take in the first round.

Chad Ford of ESPN recently released this mock draft and has Phoenix going with talented UConn guard Jeremy Lamb.

Analysis: I think the Suns would be thrilled if Lamb lasted this long on the board. He could go as high as No. 4 overall and I think this would be his floor. There's star potential there for Lamb if he ever revs up his motor.

Lamb is just 19 years old and has all the talent and potential a team can hope for, but as Ford mentions he is yet to put everything together in his career. He would immediately provide the Suns with a scorer out of the backcourt, although it would take some work to turn Lamb into the star he is capable of becoming one day.
