The Phoenix Suns might need a backup plan in case Steve Nash decides to leave the team this offseason in free agency. Nash could come back to Phoenix, but it's quite possible that he could look at other options and see if there's a chance he could win a championship in the right situation.
Deron Williams might be their primary target if they can't get Nash back, and they'll try to sell the point guard on the allure of playing with the Suns. Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News filed this report on Williams being sold on Phoenix.
"If they lose Steve, then they plan to go after Deron, hard," said a person with knowledge of the Suns’ plans. "They know he loves golf and they’re going to try to sell him on going out there."
