Ray Allen Rumors: Phoenix Suns Interested

If Steve Nash leaves in free agency, the Phoenix Suns might want to consider going younger and trying to rebuild their team up.

Or the Suns could end up replacing one older veteran for another. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports has this to report about Phoenix potentially pursuing Boston Celtics shooting guard Ray Allen.

The Suns have significant salary-cap space, and could pay Allen more than the Miami Heat or New York Knicks. Suns president Lon Babby had been Allen’s agent for a significant part of his career until Babby started running Phoenix’s basketball operations two years ago.

Allen would provide Phoenix a much-need shooting guard that could come in and start immediately. Allen could also be the beneficiary of Phoenix's renowned medical training staff, which could help heal his nagging foot injuries. It's likely that both Boston and Miami will be in the running too, so expect this to be a race between several teams.
