The North Carolina Tar Heels have a host of players from last year's team that could be first round draft picks. Harison Barnes, Tyler Zeller, John Henson could all be top ten picks!
The player the Phoenix Suns could really use though? Point guard Kendall Marshall. DraftExpress released his latest mock and has the Suns taking Marshall with the 13th overall pick. Jonathan Givony explains why Marshall makes sense here.
The Suns are in a serious transition phase with many key roster pieces entering free agency, making it difficult to pinpoint just one area of need. With Steve Nash possibly leaving, their backcourt could use a serious upgrade, which could make a pure point guard like Kendall Marshall very attractive.
You have to figure this pick is only happening if the Suns feel pretty certain they're not going to be able to keep Nash or that his final contract with the team is short and he'll be ready to tutor Marshall through his final seasons in the league.
Talk about Marshall with Phoenix fans by heading on over to Bright Side of the Sun. Discuss Marshall with Tar Heel fans by going to Carolina March.
