The Phoenix Suns are looking for a good shooting guard. Jared Dudley is solid at spurts, but he generally has to play a lot of small forward. Michael Redd and Shannon Brown can't really handle that load anymore. Phoenix needs a shooting guard that is able to take the load off whomever their point guard, whether it's Steve Nash or someone new.
CBS Sports released their latest mock draft, and Matt Moore has Syracuse's Dion Waiters going to the Suns. Waiters could be the type of two-guard that really helps out Phoenix's offense and makes them stronger along the perimeter to alleviate the pressure that comes inside on the offensive players.
It would not shock to see Waiters go as high as six. But in this scenario, the blistering buzz he's receving post-combine fades and he winds up with the team that reportedly provided a lottery promise to him. It's a good fit, athleticism and scoring punch always work well in Phoenix's system.
