Phoenix Suns Win Thriller Over Indiana Pacers On Road

The Phoenix Suns were facing a tough challenge on Friday evening as they traveled to take on the Indiana Pacers. Despite a rough first half, the Suns rode a huge third quarter to a 113-111 victory. The win improves the club to .500 on the season (24-24) and really should be a momentum booster for the playoff stretch.

Steve Nash led the way with 12 points, 17 assists and two steals in just 34 minutes. Marcin Gortat led all Suns with 23 points and eight rebounds, while Grant Hill added 22 of his own. Channing Frye missed two key free throws in the closing seconds that left the door open for the Pacers, but the forward still managed to end with 11 and five.

Danny Granger was on fire for Indiana and had 28 points on just 13 shots. He went 4-for-4 from behind the arc and did not miss from the charity stripe. Roy Hibbert gave Phoenix trouble all evening with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Tyler Hansbrough added 13 points and seven boards off the bench.

With the big win in-hand, the Suns will continue their road trip in Cleveland on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. ET.
