NBA scores: Suns lose again, Lakers fall to Thunder

The Pheonix Suns lost their fifth-straight on Thursday, and three other Pacific Division teams were in action on Friday.

The Pheonix Suns continue to falter as they lost 97-94 to the Dallas Mavericks at home their last time out. Second-year big man Markieff Morris led the Suns with 15 points and 17 rebounds in a losing effort. Mavericks guard O.J. Mayo led all scorers with 23 points.

The Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Oklahoma City for Friday's premier NBA match-up, but came away with a 114-108 loss. Kevin Durant led all scorers with 36, adding nine rebounds. Kobe Bryant finished with 35, while Dwight Howard added 23 points and 18 rebounds.

The Warriors and Kings were both able to get wins. Golden State notched an impressive 109-102 road victory over the Brooklyn Nets behind 31 points and 15 rebounds. Sacramento took down the Orlando Magic, 91-82, at home with the help of 17 points and 14 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins.

The Heat hosted the Knicks on Thursday in a battle of top Eastern Conference teams. New York stunned the heat with a 112-92 victory. Raymond Felton was top man for the Knicks with 27 points and seven assists.
