The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Phoenix Suns, 108-98, on Tuesday behind a dominant performance from Zach Randolph. The Suns jumped out to a big early lead, but let it slip away and eventually lost in overtime as Randolph couldn't be stopped on the offensive end.
Jacob Padilla of Suns blog Bright Side of the Sun couldn't help but praise the Memphis big man, who seemed to beat Phoenix almost single-handedly:
Randolph torched the Suns for 38 points and 22 rebounds, and single-handedly outscored the Suns 6-4 in OT; Z-Bo was the best player on the floor, worked harder than everyone else and had everything fall for him, not a good recipe for his opponents
Randolph was incredibly efficient on Tuesday night. He hit 15 of 22 from the floor, while knocking down all eight of his free throw attempts. His rebound total was almost half of (22/50) of the Grizzlies' team total. Seven of his rebounds were offensive, helping Memphis to grab 39 percent of their own misses.
The loss was the fourth-straight for Phoenix, dropping their record to 7-12 on the season. The Suns will be back in action on Thursday night at home against the Mavericks.
