The Phoenix Suns will be facing a difficult post-holiday schedule that runs them through the best the NBA has to offer, and they face the prospect of an ugly win-loss record by the end of January. Phoenix has lost two-straight since winning four in a row, and it is likely that more losses are to come.
As Dave King of Suns blog Bright Side of the Sun points out, Phoenix is the favorite in just two of its next 19 games. The Suns take on the Knicks, Grizzlies, Thunder, Clippers, and Lakers at home over the next month while visiting the the Pacers, Timberwolves, Thunder, Bucks, Celtics, Nets, Bulls, and Spurs. Phoenix will be underdogs in all of those contests.
The team's current 11-17 record is far from pretty, but it still offers up hope that a modest winning streak could turn the season around. However, the upcoming schedule suggests that even a three-game streak is an improbable dream.
