Phoenix Suns could offer several trade proposals

The Phoenix Suns must decide if they're pushing for the playoffs or patiently rebuilding. That will go a long way in how they operate during the trade season.

The Phoenix Suns are a bit of a mystery. On one hand, a recent four-game winning streak has them looking mediocre. On the other, the team is still without a go-to player. So in that dilemma, the Suns' front office must decide how it'll handle any trade proposals.

Dave King of Bright Side of the Sun throws out a few ideas.

Phoenix could look at acquire a star-caliber player in the Utah Jazz's Paul Millsap or the Atlanta Hawks' Josh Smith. If the Suns don't want to blow up the current roster too much, a smaller trade could see a swap for a solid role player like the Orlando Magic's J.J. Redick or the Charlotte Bobcats' Gerald Henderson. Jared Dudley's name comes up a bit in the smaller-scale scenarios.

Though the Suns have invested in their younger players, a move of center Marcin Gortat could bring in a younger player. Minnesota, for example, has reportedly been shopping forward Derrick Williams for some time now. Williams and Nikola Pekovic could be trade bait for Gortat, as the Minnesota Timberwolves blog Canis Hoopus notes.
