Suns vs. Bobcats: Phoenix notches fourth straight win

Bright Side of the Sun recaps and reacts to the Suns 121-104 win over the Bobcats on Wednesday night.

USA TODAY Sports

The Phoenix Suns won their fourth straight game on Wednesday night, downing the struggling Charlotte Bobcats, 121-104 at US Airways Center. SB Nation's own Dave King of Bright Side of the Sun recapped and reacted to the team's win.

Only 26 games into the young season, the Phoenix Suns have already done what last year's team only did once: win four straight games. Home cooking tastes so good!

Shannon Brown scored a season-high 26 points, including a 15-point outburst in a three minute span in the third quarter, to pace the Suns. Phoenix led by 29 points at the end of the third quarter, and after a mild defensive lapse that saw the Bobcats cut the lead in half midway through the fourth quarter, the Suns pulled away to secure the 17-point win.

King suggests that despite the difference in their records, the Suns and Bobcats have something in common.

The Suns and Bobcats share a common theme - neither team has a top-end go-to talent. The Suns, though, have a big advantage in experience and the top-end talent of the Suns outshines the top-end talent of the Bobcats by a wide margin.

That experience certainly paid off on Wednesday night.

The Suns take their four-game winning streak to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers on Saturday night. Tipoff is slated for 8 p.m. MT and the game will be televised nationally on NBA TV and locally on Fox Sports Arizona.
