The Phoenix Suns have struggled in the past two weeks, and national NBA writers have lost faith in the team. Every pundit has Phoenix near the bottom of the league in this week's power rankings.
SB Nation's Seth Rosenthal has the Suns at 27th, down three spots in his NBA power rankings. Rosenthal does believe the Suns might be better than their record:
Suns are still weirdly able to compete for stretches of each of their games, but haven't been able to steal any this month. They've now lost seven straight after hovering near .500 for a little while there.
ESPN has two different experts ranking teams. John Hollinger uses a mathematical approach, and he moved Phoenix one spot this week to 27th, despite nothing but losses for the Suns. Marc Stein has a more traditional approach, but he still slots Phoenix at No. 27, the same spot as last week.
Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk thinks the highest of the Suns, but not by much. Helin put Phoenix at No. 26, dropping them from No. 23 the previous week.
The Suns will try to get back on track with games against Memphis and Utah on Wednesday and Friday.
