Following the Phoenix Suns 117-110 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night, SB Nation's Seth Pollack of Bright Side of The Sun summed up the ugly contest perfectly:
"[Wednesday's game] was more a brawl between two really pissed off drunks than a prize fight between well-trained killers."
Pollack also noted that the Suns didn't necessarily walk away with the win because they earned it, but because of the Bobcats "ineptitude". Phoenix turned a 16-point lead into a four-point lead in the final 4:30 of the third quarter.
Shannon Brown lead the way for the Suns, scoring 24 points and going 6-for-6 from behind the arc, but it wasn't pretty, according to Pollack:
"Are bad shots that go in still bad shots? Not for Shannon Brown who went unconscious in the fourth quarter and rained down six threes without a miss. The early ones were contested, selfish, disgusting attempts that found the bottom of the net anyway."
A win is a win -- even if it's an ugly one, says Pollack:
"But whatever. It's a win. Move on and let us all pray together that in a month this team won't look this bad because ugly basketball is UGLY."
The Suns will play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers (2-3) on Friday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT and the game will be televised on Fox Sports Arizona.
