The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 89-76, on Sunday to improve to 5-2 on the season and extend their lead in the Pacific division. Chris Paul led the Clippers with 15 points and eight assists on 7-of-12 shooting from the field.

The Los Angeles Lakers kept pace with the Clippers as they defeated the Sacramento Kings, 103-90, behind Dwight Howard's 23 points, 18 rebounds and three blocks on 8-of-14 shooting from the field.

The win improved the Lakers to 2-0 without Mike Brown who the team fired last week. At 3-4 on the year, the Lakers are tied for second place in the division with the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns.

The Memphis Grizzlies won their fifth game in a row by defeating the Miami Heat, 104-86, on Sunday. Memphis' streak is currently the longest in the NBA. Also, the Oklahoma City Thunder improved to 5-2 on the season with a 106-91 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
