Former Arizona State Sun Devil Ike Diogu is one of 18 players on the Phoenix Suns training camp roster after Diogu chose the Suns over a number of teams.

With an enlarged heart forcing Channing Frye to miss the 2012-13 season, Diogu could be a good fit for a Suns team looking for some frontcourt depth. After bouncing around the NBA and playing last season in China and Puerto Rico, Diogu said the Suns are a good fit.

"I went to school here, the familiarity with everything, I just thought it would be a good place to come," Diogu said, according to Arizona Sports.

Playing for Nigeria, Diogu showed well during the 2012 London Olympics, averaging 14.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. He played especially well against the United States team, scoring 27 points. Diogu said he also received interest from Boston, Chicago and Dallas.

Diogu has played in 225 games in the NBA, with a career average of 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
