The Phoenix Suns are now down to 15 players after waiving former Arizona State Sun Devil Ike Diogu and Solomon Jones on Wednesday, according to a team press release.
In three games in the 2012-2013 preseason Diogu averaged 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while averaging 9.0 minutes per contest. The 6 ft. 9 forward spent his six-year NBA career playing for six different teams while posting career averages of 6.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 12.4 minutes per game.
Jones, another forward and six-year veteran out of the South Florida, averaged 4.2 points per game to go along with 2.9 rebounds in 13.2 minutes. He played in a combined 21 games in 2011-2012 for the Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans Hornets and averaged 3.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 13.9 minutes per game before signing with Phoenix in the offseason.
Phoenix is 3-3 in the 2012 preseason and will next face the Denver Nuggets at U.S. Airways Center.
