The Phoenix Suns take on the Sacramento Kings in an exhibition game on Wednesday night. It is the first exhibition game for both teams.
The Suns swept the Kings in all three meetings in last year's lockout shortened season. Center Marcin Gortat averaged 16.3 points and 11.3 contests in the three contests. The exhibition matchup features a Suns lineup that is missing Steve Nash for the first time since 2004. Goran Dragic signed a four-year deal worth $30 million to replace Nash at point guard, Dragic's second stint with the Suns throughout his NBA career.
DeMarcus Cousins had great success against the Suns last year in all three losses. In the three games he averaged 27.6 points and 11.6 rebounds. Tyreke Evans struggled against the Suns last year. He averaged less than 10 points a game against the Suns, close to seven points below his average for the 2011-2012 season.
Expected Suns starting lineup:
PG: Goran Dragic
