NBA All Star Game Voting Update: Second Round Of Votes Are In

Through two rounds of NBA All Star game voting, Magic C Dwight Howard remains the overall leader in votes, with Lakers G Kobe Bryant just behind. Steve Nash is fourth amongst Western Conference guards, trailing Bryant, Chris Paul of the Clippers, and Spanish rookie Ricky Rubio from Minnesota.

The second round of NBA All-Star game voting results are in, and familiar faces are in line to head to Orlando for the festivities.

Magic C Dwight Howard (1,161,797 votes) edged out Lakers G Kobe Bryant (1,110,379) for the overall vote lead, and Chicago G Derrick Rose is the only other player to eclipse 1,000,000 votes at this time.

Suns PG Steve Nash, a perennial invitee to the All Star game, stands fourth amongst Western Conference guards, trailing Bryant, the Clippers Chris Paul, and Minnesota's sensational rookie Ricky Rubio. Nash, who leads the NBA in assists per game with 10.1, is the sole player in the league average double-digit assists.

The only other Sun within the top five of voting at his respective position is C Marcin Gortat, who stands at fifth overall amongst Western Conference centers with 92,511 votes.

The All Star game will be held in Orlando on Sunday, Feb. 26th at 8:00 p.m. ET, and can be seen on TNT.
