NBA Lockout Hope Ends, Talks Break Down In Slew Of Stupidity

Remember all that optimism from way back earlier in the day that the NBA lockout was nearing an end? Forget about that.

↵

Talks between the owners and players broke down with a flurry of angry acquisitions with player rep Derek Fisher saying the NBA lied about the details of the negotiations and where they broke down. The owners accuse the players of not moving any further in the amount of the pie they were willing to share.

Nothing has been announced yet, but we can expect more games to be cancelled soon.

↵

There's more information with details from the press conferences of both sides here.

↵

The bottom line, the talks ended with emotions getting hot on both sides and there are no further discussions scheduled. We can only hope these fools will grow up and figure out a solution after appearing like they were so close to a deal.

There have been set backs in these discussions before and hopefully this one won't prove fatal to the season. Sometimes the making of the sausage is an ugly process but in the end you fire up the grill and eat some tasty meat.
