Phoenix Coyotes Sign Joel Rechlicz

The Phoenix Coyotoes have made a decent offseason signing, agreeing to a one-year, two-way contract with forward Joel Rechlicz. Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed.

Rechlicz measures in at six feet, four inches and weighs 235 pounds. Before signing this deal with the Coyotes, Rechlicz has played in 26 career NHL games with the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals, coming up with a 0-1-1 while posting 105 penalty minutes. Rechlicz started his NHL career with the Islanders as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Rechlicz played only three games with the Capitals last season before he was waived, spending most of his time with the Hershey Bears of the AHL, where he posted 1-1-2 and compiled 267 penalty minutes (2nd overall in the AHL) last year. He spent most of last season with the Bears after being waived by the Capitals on February 3rd.

Throughout his AHL career (122 games strong), Rechlicz has registered 2-2-4 and 645 penalty minutes.
