Coyotes Assign F Petr Prucha to San Antonio

Just a few days after sending defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson back to San Antonio, the Phoenix Coyotes have sent forward Petr Prucha to join him with the Rampage.

Prucha had spent the whole season in Phoenix, playing 11 games, while serving as a healthy scratch for 10 more.  He registered just one assist and four penalty minutes in those 11 games.

Phoenix general manager, Dan Maloney, attributed this move more to the health of the Coyotes than the performance of Prucha.  With little room for playing time, Maloney chose to make the move, noting that Prucha's confidence in puck handling is something that can be improved with a trip to San Antonio.

Prucha will join a rampage team that will play all three days of this Thanksgiving Day weekend, but Maloney doesn't expect him to be down there too long, explaining that he expects Prucha to be back in Phoenix at some point this season.

Meanwhile, the Coyotes will host the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday at Jobing.com Arena.
