Arizona State coaches and players are "excited" for the opportunity to play Navy in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
Head coach Todd Graham called it an "honor" to be competing against one of the Academies and says it will be special for Arizona State as they will be close to the hometown of Pat Tillman.
Tight end Chris Coyle echoed coach Graham's appreciation for playing one of the Academies while defining the bowl game as an opportunity to promote the team on the national stage in preparation for next season.
Arizona State finished the season winning two games in a row over Washington State and No. 24 Arizona to improve to 7-5 on the season and 5-4 in conference play.
Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly emphasized that the team needs to focus and not "get distracted with different things like traveling or going to a bowl game."
Navy is 7-4 this season and will play Army on Saturday.
