With the date to declare for the NFL draft now less than a month away, Arizona State Sun Devils junior defensive tackle Will Sutton — the Pac-12's Defensive Player of the Year — is not yet ready to make a decision about his future.
Sutton said he was weighing his options when he spoke to Arizona Sports 620's Doug and Wolf on Friday, and said he was consulting a trusted circle of friends and family members to determine whether he should stay or go after a big junior season.
"I don't know yet," Sutton told the station. "I've got until the 15th of January, so we will know before then."
Sutton led the Pac-12 in tackles for loss, recording 20 for a combined loss of 102 yards on his way to winning the conference's top defensive honor. His 10.5 sacks ranked third in the conference in 2012 after recording just 2.5 in his sophomore season.
ESPN's Mel Kiper ranks Sutton's NFL draft stock as fourth best among junior defensive tackles.
