Arizona St. Sun Devils linebacker Brandon Magee joins kick returner Rashad Ross (special teams) and defensive tackle Will Sutton (defense) as Sun Devils who have been named Pac-12 football players of the week after earning defensive honors this week.

Magee set a Territorial Cup record with 14 solo tackles in the Sun Devils' 41-34 win over the Arizona Wildcats on Nov. 23. Magee had a career-high 17 tackles in total, including three tackles for loss, and his 17 total tied the fifth-most in a game between the two teams.

The Sun Devils' defense has been a highlight of the season and players like Magee have made that possible. The defense ranks second in the Pac-12 and 27th in the nation in total defense.

Magee is a leader on the football field and his play speaks louder than words. He leads the team and is second in the Pac-12 in tackles with 104, making him the first Sun Devil with 100 or more tackles since Robert James in 2007.
