ASU vs Colorado: Sun Devils favored by over three touchdowns

The Arizona State Sun Devils are 23-point favorites heading into their third conference game against the Colorado Buffaloes Thursday.

Ed Szczepanski-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Arizona State Sun Devils (4-1) are 23-point favorites for Thursday night's road game against the Colorado Buffaloes (1-4) on ESPN.

The Devils had a bye the previous week but are still fresh off two conference wins to begin the Todd Graham era. They remain the only undefeated Pac-12 South team through their first five games of the season. ASU also won their first road game of the season last week with a 27-17 victory over the Cal Golden Bears.

The Buffaloes have only one win in 2012 but they still sit third in the Pac-12 South since that victory was over Washington State on the road. And Arizona State shouldn't be taking that upset lightly, considering the Buffaloes were 20-point underdogs in that one but still managed a 35-34 victory.

Perhaps the linemakers can't get the highlights of the Devils' 2011 48-14 romping of the Buffaloes out of their head, though. While that game may have been in Tempe, it still was coming out of ASU's bye, with the Devils having extended preparation time to knock off their opponent just like this week.
