The Arizona State Sun Devils will try to get back on track after two straight home losses when they face the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday. ASU suffered a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of UCLA last time out, as the Bruins kicked a last-second field goal to take the victory.
ASU now sits at 5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play. This weekend does provide an opportunity for the Sun Devils to get back into the hunt for a Pac-12 South title, as Oregon and Arizona could hand USC and UCLA their third league losses. The Sun Devils would have to win to take advantage, and that won't be easy in Corvallis.
Oregon State lost its first game of the year against the Washington Huskies on Saturday, but the Beavers are still No. 11 in the BCS Standings. Starting quarterback Sean Mannion played hurt against UW and struggled, so Cody Vaz will get the call in his place against ASU. Vaz was stellar against BYU earlier this season and played well at the end of the game against Washington.
Game time: 8:35 p.m. MT
TV: ESPN2
Odds: Oregon State -4½.
