UCLA vs. Arizona State 2012: TV schedule, game time, spread and more

Coming off of a 43-21 loss to Oregon, the Arizona State Sun Devils will attempt to get back in the win column when they hose UCLA on Saturday.

Matt Kartozian-US PRESSWIRE

The Arizona State Sun Devils suffered their first Pac-12 loss of the season last week and will need to rebound quickly if they want to avoid falling behind in the Pac-12 South.

ASU is currently in second place in the Pac-12 South at 3-1, 1/2 game behind 4-1 USC. The Sun Devils will host a UCLA Bruins team which is 2-2 in conference play and would move ahead of ASU with a win. Saturday's game could be pivotal for the Sun Devils as they will then go on the road for back-to-back games against teams currently ranked in the top 10.

Saturday's game figures to be an offensive battle as both teams rank in the top 25 in the country in yards per game. UCLA is 13th in the country, averaging 505.3 yards per game while Arizona State is 23rd at 468.9 yards per game. The Sun Devils hold an advantage in scoring, averaging 37.7 points per game compared to UCLA's 31.7.

If this season's game is similar to last year, fans should be in for a wild ride. UCLA hung on for a 29-28 victory last season with ASU missing a potential game-winning field goal. That game featured five lead changes and nearly 1,000 yards of total offense.

UCLA leads the all-time series 17-10-1.

Game time, TV channel: 3 p.m. ET, FX

Point spread: Arizona State favored by 5-1/2 points.
