Arizona State Sun Devils defensive tackle Will Sutton has been added to the Maxwell Award Watch list, according to Master Tesfatsion of State Press Sport. Sutton has emerged as one of the nation's top defensive players, wreaking havoc for opposing offensive lines all season.

Sutton was injured on the second play from scrimmage against the Oregon Ducks last Thursday, as the defensive tackle banged knees with Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota while forcing a fumble. Sutton did not return for the rest of the game and was on crutches along the sideline. His status for ASU's match-up with UCLA on Saturday is still unknown.

The junior has posted 14 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks from his defensive tackle spot in just seven games this season. The TFL total is third-best in the country, while the sack total is eighth. Sutton has also broken up three passes and forced two fumbles on the year.
