The 4-1 Arizona State Sun Devils will travel to Colorado on Thursday to face the Buffaloes in a game which will be nationally broadcast on ESPN.
The Sun Devils currently sit atop the Pac-12 South division at 2-0 and are 23-point favorites against the 1-4 Buffaloes. ASU is coming off a bye week and should be well rested as they go on the road for the second straight game.
Taylor Kelly will once again lead a Sun Devil offense which ranks 23rd in the country, averaging 38.4 points per game. Kelly has completed 67.6 percent of his passes and has thrown for nearly 1,300 yards through five games. While senior running back Cameron Marshall hasn't had the season some expected him to so far, he saw a heavier workload in ASU's last game and could be in line for a bigger role against Colorado. Marshall ran for 114 yards and three touchdowns on just 15 carries against the Buffaloes last season.
While the Sun Devil offense has garnered a lot of the attention, the ASU defense has been excellent as well this season. Arizona State is 12th in the nation in points per game allowed, surrendering just 13.6 PPG. They will now face a Colorado offense which has struggled to score points this season. The Buffaloes are averaging 21.6 points per game, which is good for 102nd in the country.
ASU cruised to a 48-14 victory against the Buffaloes last season.
Game time, TV channel: 9 p.m. ET, ESPN
Point spread: Arizona State favored by 23 points
