The Rich Rodriguez era in Tucson will officially begin next Saturday as the Arizona Wildcats begin their season against the Toledo Rockets. They may not play in a BCS conference, but Toledo is projected to return a very strong team and will present UA with plenty of problems in the opening week.

The Rockets finished last season with a record of 9-4, capped off by a thrilling 42-41 victory over Air Force in the Military Bowl. They return quarterback Terrance Owens, who threw for upwards of 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns last year in limited duty. Look for Owens to target wide receiver Bernard Reedy early and often; as a sophomore in 2011, Reedy hauled in 40 passes for 758 yards and nine touchdowns.

Game time, TV channel: 10:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. locally on ESPNU

Point spread: Arizona enters as nine-point favorites on Saturday night. The over/under for the game is 64.
