The Arizona Wildcats football team held their annual spring game on Saturday. The intrasquad game featured some impressive and promising performances, but the team received some bad news after the game wrapped.
According to the Arizona Daily Star, safety Adam Hall tore his ACL during the game. The news is even more distressing and unfortunate considering that Hall was entering the 2012 season coming off of a similar injury. As the recovery time for ACL tears is generally between six-to-nine months of recuperation, this could be a potentially career-threatening injury.
Hall injured himself midway through the spring game while making a play on wide receiver Sean Willett. Last year's ACL tear, which occurred in March rather than April, caused Hall to miss all of the spring and fall camps and only allowed him to play in one game in 2011. The forecast will likely be similar for his playing time this year.
