The Pac-12 Tournament will reach its close on Saturday as the tournament final game will be played and one team will come away with the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament to be part of March Madness. It will either be the Arizona Wildcats, who beat the Oregon State Beavers 72-61 Friday night or the Colorado Buffalos, who beat the California Bears 70-59.
The Wildcats are considered to be very much on the bubble for an at-large bid for the NCAA Tourney, so they obviously do not want to have to leave their fate to the selection committee. They would much rather win the Pac-12 and get in automatically.
If Arizona wins, it could be the only Pac-12 team to make the tournament. Considering their regular season ending loss to Arizona State, it appeared that a conference tournament championship would be teh only way to get them in.
