Future Arizona Wildcats Brandon Ashley, Grant Jerrett, Kaleb Tarczewski Selected For Jordan Brand Classic

The Arizona Wildcats have the No. 1 ranked recruiting class coming to Tucson next season, but before Brandon Ashley, Grant Jerrett, Kaleb Tarczewski and Gabe York can lead the UA back to the promise land, they have to enjoy their senior year of high school. With their seasons winding down, many players around the country will be selected for various showcase games to celebrate their achievements.

The Jordan Brand Classic announced their participants on Tuesday, three of which are going to be Wildcats next fall.

Ashley, a 6'8 forward currently playing for Findlay Prep in Nevada was selected for the West Team. Ashley committed to the UA in August and will likely play a role at Arizona similar to the one Derrick Williams had. Blessed with size and athleticism, Ashley can both bang in the paint and attack from the wing.

Jerrett, who has grown to 6-foot-10 and is now around 230 pounds, continues to develop at an alarming rate. The senior power forward committed to Arizona back in November of 2010 and plays at La Verne Lutheran in California. Like Ashley, he will represent the west coast team.

Tarczewski, a seven-footer who chose the Wildcats over Kansas in October, has dominated the competition this season and is one of the few true centers in the country that can run the floor. His post game continues to be a work in progress but everyone around him raves about his work ethic and many feel he'll become a star at the next level.

The game will take place on April 14 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., which is 5 p.m. in Arizona. The ESPN Networks will have coverage throughout the day.
