Arizona Wildcats Hold Slight Lead Over Washington State At Halftime

The Arizona Wildcats desperately need a win on Thursday night to keep pace with the rest of the Pac-12. In an unexpectedly high scoring contest thus far, the UA leads the Washington St. Cougars by a score of 40-39 at the half. The game is currently being televised by Fox Sports Arizona.

The Wildcats shot well in the first half and were led by Kyle Fogg and his 10 points. Freshman point guard Josiah Turner asserted himself early and has eight points, while both Angelo Chol and Brendon Lavender have six points each off the bench. Arizona played just seven players in the half due to injuries to Kevin Parrom and Jordin Mayes.

Washington State shot nearly 52% from the field and built an early 11-3 lead in the opening minutes. Brock Motum and Reggie Moore led the way with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Abe Lodwick and Marcus Capers both added six points a piece.

The second half is about to get underway.
