The Arizona Wildcats played poorly for most of the first half against the Utah Utes, and despite shooting just 36% and turning the ball over eight times, they lead 33-28. The UA desperately needs a win on Thursday night and are playing in front of 2,000 or so fans at the Jon Huntsman Arena in Salt Lake City.
Kyle Fogg has led the way offensively for the Wildcats with six points, which came on back-to-back 3-pointers in the final minutes of the half. Josiah Turner has played very well, scoring five points, dishing out an assists, recording two steals and a block, all in just 12 minutes of time on the court. Solomon Hill is on his way to another double-double after recording five points and four rebounds thus far.
Utah is playing without their best player (and starting point guard), although they shot 50% from the field in the first half. Cedric Martin and Kareem Story both have seven points, while Chris Hines and big man Jason Washburn both have six.
Arizona is clearly the more talented team and should win this game by double digits. A loss would all-but-end the season for the UA.
