While Sean Miller has his full attention on completing his recruiting class for 2012, the head coach and his staff are still working on building relationships with those in the classes of 2013 and beyond.
One of those players is Jabari Bird. The 6-foot-5 guard and forward out of Richmond, California had a big summer while playing for the Oakland Soldiers in AAU ball and is rocketing up the rankings. The UA has quite a strong bond with the Soliders as of right now, seeing as Josiah Turner, Nick Johnson and Brandon Ashley have all played on the team.
As for Bird's recruitment, while he has named no leaders, Arizona has been on him since the early going and it would not surprise anyone if he ends up a Wildcat. Oregon, California, Washington, and others are all heavily involved in the wing as well.
