Arizona State Football Recruiting: Evan Goodman Commits To Sun Devils

Today is turning out to be a big day for the ASU football program. According to Doug Haller, ASU has received a committment from four-star prospect Evan Goodman after receiving one fom offensive guard Stephon McCray earlier today. Goodman, currently a student at Lakeland High School in Florida, has long been one of ASU's biggest targets for its 2012 class. His commitment should bring much applause to the ASU football staff.

Scouts.com ranks Goodman 17th at offensive linesman. Goodman had visited and talked to schools such as Notre Dame, Auburn, Nebraska, LSU and Florida. In the end, however, it looks like family ties won out.

Evan won't be the only Goodman to attend ASU in 2012. His twin brother Devin, a three-star recruit who plays offensive guard, committed to ASU in late September of 2010. It appears that the brothers will stay united after they finish high school this year.

Evan Goodman stands at 6-4 and weighs 290 pounds. He is a solid addition to ASU's 2012 recruiting class and should provide much confidence for a staff that has been eyeing him for a while.
