Andrus Peat Top 3: Nebraska Cornhuskers, Texas Longhorns, Florida State Seminoles

Perhaps the best recruit from the state of Arizona this season is offensive tackle Andrus Peat from Corona Del Sol in Tempe, Arizona. Weighing in at 6'7", 305 pounds, there's natural size and girth to be a dominant tackle in run blocking, plus the dexterity and size to swallow up edge rushers.

Here are Peat's current rankings on the major recruiting services.

  • Rivals: 15th on Rivals250, 3rd best offensive tackle
  • ESPN: 16th on ESPNU150, 3rd best offensive tackle
  • Scout: 2nd best offensive tackle
  • 247 Sports: 4th on Top 247 overall recruits, 2nd best offensive tackle

It appears Peat has finally narrowed down his list to three schools. Although the Arizona St. Sun Devils had been considered one of the top contenders, it appears as if Peat is looking toward the East and three big schools. Scott Campbell of 247 Sports tweeted that Peat's top three are the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Texas Longhorns, and Florida St. Seminoles.

All have a lot to offer Peat. In Nebraska, he can reunite with his older brother Todd; in Texas and Florida State he has the chance to compete for early starting time. This list is probably subject to change at any time, but these appear to be Peat's strongest candidates.
