The NCAA released its official attendance figures for the 2010-11 regular season on Tuesday, and Arizona impressed with its overall figures. ASU, on the other hand, has a long way to go.
↵The Wildcats averaged 13,680 fans per game (17 games, 232,561 total attendance) for their home contests. In a season where UA won the regular season Pac-10 title, the fact that the building was full of fans every game is not a huge surprise.
↵The Sun Devils failed to draw even half as many fans per game, averaging only 6,772 tickets sold per contest (15 games, 101,576 total attendance). ASU had a terrible season by any standard, and the lack of wins wore the crowds down by the end of the season.
↵Both schools' attendance figures are down from last season, when UA averaged 13,800 per game and ASU reeled in roughly 7,500.
