Selection Sunday Schedule, Big Ten Title Game, Bracketology Links

The NCAA Tournament begins this week, starting with Selection Sunday. There are four games being played today, although three of them are currently in play. The ACC, the SEC, the Atlantic 10, and the Big Ten will crown their conference champions before 3:00 P.M. Pacific time.

The final game of the day is a matchup between the bubble-bound Penn State Nittany Lions and the #1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. The Nittany Lions (19-13) must win today to feel comfortable about their tournament chances, though they've won four in a row (including three in the Big Ten tournament).

The bubble is slowly shrinking, with teams like the Dayton Flyers threatening to take a bid from the likes of the USC Trojans or the Georgia Bulldogs.

12:30 PM PST: Big Ten Championship game, CBS. Penn State will look to secure their bid to the Big Dance.

↵

3:00 PM PST: NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show, CBS. This 60-minute show will break down all the participants in the 68-team field, including the "first four."

ESPN's Joe Lunardi and SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean have been very busy these past few days, adjusting their bracketology prognostications based on every game played. Both bracketologists have Pac-10 school USC edging into the field.

The Arizona Wildcats are still projected as 5 seeds by both Lunardi and Dobbertean. Neither bracketologist is punishing them for their overtime loss to the Washington Huskies in the Pac-10 title game.
