Arizona vs. Florida Score: Scrappy Wildcats Lead At Halftime

The Arizona Wildcats are without their starting point guard and are overmatched in talent by the Florida Gators, but excellent offensive execution and strong defense has UA leading 33-32 at halftime. It has been a sloppy game of sorts thus far, with Arizona turning the ball over 10 times and allowing eight offensive rebounds.

Kevin Parrom made his first start of the season for the 'Cats and his impact has been felt immediately. Parrom leads UA with 11 points at the break, including a floater that gave Arizona a lead right before the half. Jesse Perry could be on his way to another double-double with 10 points and three rebounds, while Kyle Fogg has eight. Solomon Hill and Angelo Chol were the only two others to score, chipping in with two points.

Florida has not been shy shooting the ball and the hoisted 14 threes (and connected on five) in the first 20 minutes of play. Big man Patric Young has dominated in the paint, scoring 14 points and bringing in five boards. Mike Rosario came off the bench for the Gators and has 10 points.

The odds are against Arizona, but the team hung in throughout the first half. A win on the road would be absolutely huge for the program. ESPN is currently televising the game.
