Arizona vs. NAU Preview: Wildcats Look To Dominate Struggling Lumberjacks

With a big game against Florida looming, the Wildcats will look to win convincingly against the struggling Lumberjacks.

The Arizona Wildcats earned a big road victory earlier this week and are now looking to knock off the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at the McKale Center. NAU nearly defeated Arizona last season, but a late rally from the 'Cats was enough to record the victory. After losing multiple starters from last year's team, it's tough to imagine the Lumberjacks repeating their performance from 2010.

Northern Arizona enters the game with a record of 2-5, although they are yet to defeat a D-I or D-II team. Their two lone wins came over community colleges, while they have lost their five games by an average of 19.5 points. Freshman guard James Douglas leads the 'Jacks with 12.6 points-per-game and he is shooting better than 42% from behind the arc. NAU will play 10 players throughout the game and they use a balanced scoring attack to find their points. Durrell Norman, a 6'4'' guard, leads the team in rebounding with six per game.

For the Wildcats, it's all about finding consistency on both ends of the floor, just as they did against New Mexico State on Tuesday. Expect Sean Miller to go with his three guard starting lineup and for the bench to play a lot of minutes once the game is out of hand. This should not be a close game.

TV Schedule: Fox Sports Arizona will air the game live, with tipoff coming from Tucson at 4:30 p.m.

Projected Starting Lineup: Jordin Mayes, Kyle Fogg, Nick Johnson, Solomon Hill, Jesse Perry

Final Prediction: This may be a close game early, but the Wildcats should have no problems on Saturday. Expect a lot of 3's to go down for UA as they win convincingly 85-66.
