BCS Rankings: Arizona Falls To 23rd Overall, Oregon Stays On Top

After being defeated by the USC Trojans on Saturday night, the Arizona Wildcats found themselves 7-3 and falling fast in the rankings. UA is now 22nd overall in the latest BCS rankings, released Sunday evening. Oregon stayed on top, with Auburn right behind. TCU lost some points for their messy victory over San Diego State, and Boise State inched closer to third overall.

The Oregon Ducks didn't win impressively, defeating the California Golden Bears 15-13 on the road. Memorial Stadium is a very difficult place to play, and Cal was undefeated at home this season going into Saturday's game.

The team to watch in this situation is LSU, who is dangerously close to breaking through and passing both TCU and Boise State with a few more victories in SEC play. It's hard to ignore the Stanford Cardinal, but after their close win against the Arizona St. Sun Devils, it's difficult to say whether or not they are an elite team in college football.
