Fresh off their impressive 27-17 road victory over California, Arizona State is beginning to rise up the national rankings once again. The Sun Devils received 40 votes in the latest USA Today Coaches' Poll, nearly double the 22 votes they received a week ago.

Arizona State is 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in Pac-12 play. By receiving 40 points, the Sun Devils were the seventh highest ranked Pac-12 team. Arizona State will have a good opportunity to garner even more votes when they play 1-4 Colorado on Thursday.

The 40 votes were the second most the Sun Devils have received this season. ASU received 58 votes in both the Week 2 and Week 3 polls. They fell down to five votes after losing, but have increased each of the last two weeks.

While the Sun Devils are rising in the poll, the Arizona Wildcats are falling. After losing 38-35 to Oregon State on Saturday, the Wildcats didn't receive a vote in this week's poll. In a three-week span the Wildcats have fallen from No. 21 to 16 votes to zero.
